Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi together with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka monitored the implementation of the MBG trial at SDN 03 Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (22/10).supporting the national strategic program
As many as 600 food packages were prepared together with PT Bank DKI through its CSR.
"Jakarta Provincial Government continues to prepare in supporting the national strategic program. This Free Nutritious Meal program is aimed to improve student development as well as education quality for the sake of our next generation," Teguh said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.

"Same as previous one, the food is packaged in an environmentally friendly paper box. The waste management is carried out by a waste bank in collaboration with the Environmentally Concerned Community Forum," Teguh added.
Following up on Vice President Gibran's direction, Teguh will continue to strive to provide a varied food menu with calorie adjusted to the age of students.
"The calorie is adjusted to the target group. Like yesterday for Vocational High School (SMK), the calories were 750, now for Elementary School (SD) it is adjusted to 571 calories." Teguh continued.
In order to get effective implementation and in line with central government's program, Jakarta Provincial Government continues to evaluate MBG program. Food quality is also a major concern for students getting optimal nutrition. Jakarta Provincial Government will also work with the Indonesian Ministry of Health to improve the MBG quality.
